The Harper Conservatives made good on an election promise, passing their omnibus crime bill March 12th, less than 100 days since Parliament returned to work. But New Democrat justice critic Jack Harris called the bill flawed, and said it would only hurt the country. (The massive bill included nine separate pieces of previous legislation. It passed with a 154-129 vote in the House of Commons.)
