Halifax marked the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic on April 15th with a telling of the ill-fated ship's story. During the performance, actor Gordon Pinsent described the work cable ships from Halifax did as they began recovering bodies from the disaster in the days after the ship sank. (The sombre but historic memorial service was held amid 121 black headstones, the most tangible and sorrowful link the city has with the Titanic.)
