Michael Rafferty was found guilty of all counts in the abduction, rape and killing of eight-year-old Woodstock, Ontario third-grader Victoria Stafford. A jury convicted Rafferty of first-degree murder, sexual assault causing bodily harm and kidnapping in the 2009 death. Tori's father, Rodney Stafford, was pleased with the verdicts, and held up a photo of his daughter outside the courthouse. (Judge Thomas Heeney commended the jury for taking its time and reaching a verdict that was "just and amply supported by the evidence." The murder conviction carried a mandatory life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years. In 2010, Rafferty's then-girlfriend, Terri-Lynne McClintic, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder.)
