Luka Rocco Magnotta made a brief appearance in a Montreal courtroom June 19th -- and then vanished from public view until 2013. The accused body-parts killer had court dates set for early 2013 and was told he would face a preliminary hearing in March. His lawyer did not ask for a psychiatric evaluation, as expected. Magnotta's new lawyer, Toronto-based Luc Leclair, said his client was eager to defend himself. (Magnotta, a self-described porn actor and prostitute, pleaded not guilty to charges including first-degree murder, defiling a corpse, and harassing Prime Minister Stephen Harper.)
