Sixteen-year-old Matthew Gougeon began his trip July 12th from Tofino, BC to become the youngest person to fly an amphibious aircraft solo, from coast to coast. He said he'd tackle any mid-air problems with rational thinking. (He landed in Halifax on July 19th.)
