Close to a thousand police officers were deployed November 1st in a massive raid in Quebec, Ontario and BC against an alleged nationwide narcotics trafficking ring linked to organized crime. Police arrested 103 people. Quebec Provincial Police Inspector Michel Forget (for-JHET') said the drug network also had links to Mexico. (Police said the operation involved organized crime figures, the Mafia, the Hells Angels and Montreal's West End Gang.)
