The CRTC released its new wireless code of conduct that included allowing consumers to cancel cellphone contracts after two years without penalty and unlock their devices after 90 days. Also, extra data charges and international data roaming charges were capped at 50-dollars and 100-dollars per month respectively. CRTC chairman Jean-Pierre Blais said the new rules would create a more dynamic marketplace. (The new code applied to new wireless contracts beginning December 2nd.)
