The Supreme Court of Canada refused to hear an appeal to restore a lower court judgment which found embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford in conflict of interest and ordered him out of office. Ford said the whole case was a politically motivated attack by some of his detractors. (Ford was ordered removed from office in 2012 after a judge found him in a conflict for voting to exempt himself from repaying money lobbyists had contributed to his football foundation. But the ruling was overturned by an appeal panel.)
