The Quebec Court of Appeal ruled against the province in its bid to get the Harper government to hand over federal long-gun registry data for Quebec. The registry was destroyed in the rest of Canada in 2012. Heidi Rathjen, a gun control activist, said she was still hopeful the legal battle would continue.
