Child pornography charges were laid against two 18-year-old men in the case of Rehtaeh (ruh-TAY'-ah) Parsons, the 17-year-old Halifax girl who died in April, 2013 following a suicide attempt that stemmed from months of cyberbullying after a digital photo of her being sexually assaulted was passed around her school. Rehtaeh's father Glen Canning said the news was bittersweet. (Rehtaeh was taken off life-support in April after she attempted suicide in her home.)
