Toronto Constable Babak Andalib-Goortani was convicted of assault with a weapon after a judge found he used excessive force during the arrest of G-20 protester Adam Nobody in June 2010 on the lawn of the Ontario legislature. Outside court, Nobody said he still had strong memories of the events of June 26th 2010, when he and the constable crossed paths. (Nobody was singled out for arrest at the demonstration and was tackled as he ran from police. Judge Louise Botham told court a police officer is not entitled to use unlimited force to affect an arrest.)
