Fire raged through a seniors residence in L'Isle-Verte, Quebec, killing 32 people. Frigid temperatures hampered recovery efforts for weeks as rescue crews sifted through the icy rubble. Pierre Fillion, a retired RCMP officer, said many people in the town of about 1,500 had relatives living at the residence.
