On March 11th the Saginaw Spirit confirmed that the body of Ontario Hockey League player Terry Trafford had been found after he had been missing for a week. The 20-year-old forward disappeared earlier in the month after being disciplined by the club for a violation of team rules. An autopsy later determined Trafford died of self-inflicted asphyxiation. At Trafford's funeral on March 18th, team chaplain Chuck Jacobson said the players had come together for each other.
