On March 26th, striking truckers at Canada's largest port reached a deal to end a prolonged strike, which left hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of cargo stranded at Vancouver-area container terminals and prompted escalating pressure from the provincial and federal governments. Unifor president Jerry Dias -- who represented several hundred unionized truckers -- said the outcome was what his members wanted.
