Bob Nicholson announced he was stepping down as president and CEO of Hockey Canada on June 1st. The 60-year-old BC native had held the position since 1998, and Canada won seven Olympic titles over his time with the organization. Nicholson said Canada's success at the international level was satisfying, but the organization should never lose its focus on the players of tomorrow. (On June 13th, Nicholson was named vice-chairman of the Oilers Entertainment Group.)
