Five charges, including child pornography, extortion, criminal harassment and Internet luring were laid by RCMP against a Dutch man, 35-year-old Aydin Coban, in connection with the Amanda Todd case. The 15-year-old Port Coquitlam, BC, girl killed herself in October 2012, after posting a YouTube video detailing her harassment. Amanda's mother Carol said she hoped her daughter's death would be the catalyst for greater efforts to curb online exploitation of minors. (Coban's lawyer said he would fight extradition to Canada.)
