A heavily armed gunman shot three Mounties dead and injured two others in Moncton, New Brunswick. Twenty-four-year old Justin Bourque was apprehended nearly 30 hours later after a city-wide manhunt that left the city at a virtual standstill. RCMP Commanding Officer for New Brunswick Roger Brown said the attack was perhaps the darkest moment for the force in the province's history.
