On October 2nd, a BC Supreme Court Justice found Cody Haevischer (HAY'-visher) and Matthew Johnston each guilty of one count of conspiracy to commit murder and six counts of first-degree murder in the 2009 Surrey Six executions. Judge Catherine Wedge said Haevischer and Johnston played key roles in the execution-style killings of defenseless victims -- including two innocent men. Twenty-two-year-old Chris Mohan's mother Eileen was relieved by the guilty verdicts. (A fellow gang member, who can only be identified as Person X due to a publication ban, pleaded guilty in April 2009 to three counts of second-degree murder and is serving a life sentence.)
