Quebec provincial police fatally shot a "radicalized" suspect after a brief car chase following a deliberate hit-and-run attack on two members of the Canadian Forces in front of a recruitment center in Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu on October 20th. Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent later died in hospital from his injuries. The assailant was on the RCMP's terror watch list and his passport had been seized. Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney said he was horrified by the attack.
