New Brunswick's Emergency Measures Organization is warning the public to be prepared for a major storm about to hit the province. EMO director Greg MacCallum says by Thursday morning, northern and central regions of the province could receive up to 40 centimetres of snow. (MacCallum says the storm is expected to begin tonight and central areas of the province will get a few hours of freezing rain during the changeover from snow to rain. He says people should be prepared for extended power outages and the potential for flooded streets and basements.)
