The family of a man who died during a 34-hour wait in a Winnipeg emergency room says the inquest into his death was a wasted opportunity. Brian Sinclair died of a treatable bladder infection while waiting for medical care over six years ago in Winnipeg's Health Sciences Centre ER. Robert Sinclair says the inquest didn't deal with the racist assumptions made about his cousin and, instead, made recommendations about how the emergency room is structured. (Health Minister Sharon Blady says Sinclair's death was a preventable tragedy. She says the system failed Sinclair and for that she humbly apologizes.)
