Critics say keeping a report on environmental threats from oilsands pipelines under wraps suggests the federal government is trying to hide legitimate concerns. Keith Stewart of Greenpeace says he's worried that pipelines have been approved despite a 2013 report concluding that little is known about how a bitumen spill could affect rivers, lakes and oceans. (The unpublished report surveyed hundreds of academic research papers and says little is known about the potential toxic effects of oilsands products in oceans, lakes or rivers.)
