The RCMP say the man arrested in connection with the deaths of two boys killed by a python in New Brunswick has been released from custody and will appear in court April 27th. Noah and Connor Barthe were found dead on August 5th, 2013, after an African rock python escaped its enclosure inside an apartment in Campbellton, where they were staying for a sleepover. RCMP Corporal Chantal Farrah says details on the possible charges won't be released until the court date. (Police have not released the man's identity, but the lawyer who represents the man who owned the snake says it was his client -- Jean-Claude Savoie -- who was arrested.)
