Oilsands crude can now officially sent to Europe without a "dirty oil" label. A revised fuel-quality directive has passed in the European Union without any amendments. Tim McMillan is the president of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers. He says even though Europe won't be taking a lot of oilsands crude anytime soon, today's news is welcome. (TransCanada Corporation is proposing a cross-Canada pipeline that would connect oilsands crude to the East Coast for export.)
