Money for sport science and technology shrunk after the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The federal government has announced it will inject as much as three-million dollars over the next three years into the projects and studies that help put Canadians on the podium. Canada's Minister of State for Sport is Bal Gosal. He says he told Own The Podium if they could raise a million dollars each year, the feds would match it.
