The president of the Canadian Cattlemen's Association says he is disappointed to hear the BSE cow found in Alberta was born after tougher feed rules were imposed in 2007. David Solverson says producers will be watching closely for the results of the CFIA investigation into this case that will determine if any of the cow's herdmates could also be infected. (Solverson says Canada has good safeguards against BSE, but there is always the possibility of new cases.)
