Saskatchewan's Stefanie Lawton edged Canada's Rachel Homan 8-7 in an extra end yesterday at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. The loss ended Homan's bid for three straight national titles. (Lawton then dropped a 7-6 decision to Alberta's Val Sweeting in the semifinal. Sweeting will play Jennifer Jones of Manitoba for the championship today. Lawton meets Homan for bronze.)
