Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne says she was surprised to hear a Progressive Conservative Rick Nicholls yell in the legislature that it wouldn't be a bad idea to stop teaching evolution in Ontario schools. Wynne says Nicholls' comment came in reaction to a joke from the education minister, and she can't believe the Tory MPP later confirmed that he does not believe in evolution. (Nicholls is co-chair of Barrie MP Patrick Brown's P-C leadership campaign. Brown says he respects Nicholls' views, but personally believes in evolution.)
