Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz is satisfied with the progress so far into the investigation into a case of mad cow disease. The beef breeding cow with BSE was discovered last month on a farm near Edmonton and was born on a nearby farm. Ritz says The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has found 40 to 50 per cent of the animals raised at the same time as the infected cow and those it came into contact with at other farms. He says finding the source is difficult. (Ritz says the feed supply is also being investigated to see if there is any kind of "smoking gun.")
