Prime Minister Stephen Harper is coming under attack over his declaration that the niqab, a garment that covers the face of some Muslim women, is the product of an anti-women culture. But Harper told the Commons today that the majority of "moderate" Muslims support his view that wearing a niqab during citizenship ceremonies should be banned. (NDP Leader Tom Mulcair is also accusing Harper of fostering intolerance and Islamophobia in his remarks about the niqab.)
