Health officials are holding a vaccination clinic at an elementary school after an outbreak of hepatitis A. Fraser Health medical health officer Doctor Helena Swinkels says the virus that is transmitted through contamination with stool is believed to have spread from one family. She says North Ridge Elementary is on spring break but about 75 per cent of staff and students have been contacted. (Vaccinations will be offered at the school for a second time next week to protect students and staff from the virus, which can cause diarrhea, vomiting and jaundice.)
