Prime Minister Stephen Harper is proposing to expand and extend Canada's war against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant to include airstrikes on extremist positions in Syria. But he's not getting any support from the opposition parties. NDP Leader Tom Mulcair told the Commons today the prime minister has misled Canadians from the beginning, when Canada joined an allied mission to combat Islamic extremists in northern Iraq. (Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau also told the House his party will not support the expanded mission.)
