PEI's premier says he has raised concerns in Ottawa about a drop in the number of temporary foreign workers available to work at fish plants in the province. Wade MacLauchlan says he described the worries among seafood processors over potential worker shortages during his meeting with Employment Minister Pierre Poilievre (pah-lee-YEV') earlier this week. (A spokeswoman for the federal minister's office says Ottawa is offering pilot programs that would allow people with experience in fish plants to take work and keep a portion of their benefits.)
