Two Montreal lawyers have filed a motion seeking clarification about the rights of Quebecers who want access to justice while wearing religious attire. The lawyers are acting on behalf of Rania El-Alloul, a Quebec woman who was refused her day in court by a judge because she was wearing a hijab. Lawyer Julius Grey says access to justice is at the heart of his legal request. (The motion seeking a declaratory judgment will be presented on April 30th.)
