The mayor of Saanich, B-C says he feels vindicated now that the province's privacy commissioner has released a report criticizing the Victoria-area municipality for installing spy software on city hall computers. Mayor Richard Atwell alleged his computer was bugged. He plans to put forward a motion that Saanich council accept the recommendations of Elizabeth Denham's report. (Atwell raised privacy concerns after discovering Saanich installed security software on computers including his own without his knowledge.)
