The Canadian Museum of History is opening an exhibit tomorrow that gathers all the artifacts from Terry Fox's Marathon of Hope. Doug Alward, who was Fox's best friend and drove the iconic van that followed him along the journey, says the memories of the marathon are just as vivid today as they were in 1980. (Items include Fox's artificial leg and even the van that followed him along the 53-hundred and 73 kilometre route that he took in 1980. Fox was forced to abandon his run to raise money for cancer in Thunder Bay, Ontario when his own cancer returned.)
