Former Toronto mayor Rob Ford will undergo surgery next month to remove a cancerous tumour. He met with his doctors this afternoon and was told his tumour has shrunk enough to operate. (Ford has received both chemotherapy and radiation since doctors discovered the tumour last September. As a result of the cancer diagnosis, Ford gave up his re-election bid as mayor and instead ran for his old council seat, which he won in the October election.)
