About 17 miners spent the night in underground safe rooms following a fire in a northern Manitoba nickel mine. Murray Nychyporuk (NITCH-uh-POUR-uck) with the United Steelworkers union says a piece of equipment caught fire Sunday afternoon inside the Vale (VAH'-lay) Inco facility near Thompson. (He says no one was injured.)
