Kathleen Wynne insists she's not a gay activist, but says being a lesbian in the Ontario premier's office allows people to see society is changing for the better. Wynne says fathers frequently tell her their gay sons or daughters say the fact she's an openly-gay premier helps make things safer for them. (Wynne rarely raises the issue of her homosexuality, but has spoken about it three times in the past week -- condemning Indiana's religious freedom law, voting against so-called conversion therapy and at an anti-bullying rally at a Toronto high school.)
