There are now 29 poultry farms under quarantine in southwestern Ontario after H-5 avian influenza was confirmed on a turkey farm earlier this month. Doctor Abed Harchaoui (ah-BED' har-SHAU'-wee) of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency says all the quarantined locations are in a new avian influenza control zone that has been set up as a precaution. (The control zone stretches 10 kilometres around the one farm in Woodstock, Ontario, where the disease has been confirmed.)
