It was a year ago today that five young people were stabbed to death in Calgary to mark the end of the school year. A private memorial service was held to mark the anniversary of the city's worst mass murder. Calgary Mayor Naheed (NAH'-hed) Nenshi attended along with friends and family members of the five victims. Nenshi says the service was tough for them. (Nenshi was at the University of Calgary for the launch of a festival focusing on student well-being in light of the deaths of Zackariah Rathwell, Lawrence Hong, Joshua Hunter, Jordan Segura and Kaiti Perras.)
