Prime Minister Harper looked on as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed the visitors' book in the rotunda on Parliament Hill this morning. Then the men adjourned to Harper's office for talks that are expected to encompass a wide range of topics. They emerged to announce a deal to sell Saskatchewan uranium to India. Although, Harper says the links between the two countries transcend trade. (Later today, Harper and Modi will travel to Toronto, where Modi is expected to receive a rock-star reception at a hockey arena this evening.)
