A Saskatchewan man says his 12-hundred dollar ambulance bill included charges for a return trip where another patient was also transferred. Calvin Vollet (VOHL'-it) says when he travelled by ambulance from Regina to Saskatoon, the ambulance picked up another patient for the trip back to Regina but he was still charged for 75 per cent of the trip. Health Minister Dustin Duncan says the legislation is outdated. (Health Minister Dustin Duncan has said ambulance fees are heavily subsidized and 71 per cent of the cost is borne by taxpayers.)
