A defence lawyer says an email at the centre of the case against Christopher Phillips for allegedly threatening police with a dangerous chemical is something he'll be going after in a June 1st trial. Mike Taylor says the alleged threat by his client against police in the email is balanced by other comments in the letter Phillips sent to a friend. (The Crown has said it has determined there is sufficient evidence to proceed with a trial against Phillips. When his stockpile of chemicals was discovered in Halifax and Grand Desert, Nova Scotia, it resulted in the evacuation of a number of nearby residences.)
