A Canadian soldier has failed in his bid to recover thousands of dollars he lost when he sold his home after being posted to another base. Major Marcus Brauer says the Treasury Board reviewed his housing claims for a second time and found the market in Alberta was not depressed at the time. (Brauer says he lost 88-thousand dollars when he sold his house outside Edmonton in 2010. But the board gave him 15-thousand dollars in compensation because it said the housing market was not depressed.)
