Rio Tinto has announced job cuts at its Montreal headquarters. And, as Canadian Press reporter Peter Ray tells us, the reductions come as the company prepares to move into its new digs -- with the Alcan name missing from the building. (Alcan has been used since 1925 when it was formally called the Aluminium Company of Canada. It was acquired by Rio Tinto in 2007 for 38-billion dollars.)
