The man credited with stopping a gunman on Parliament Hill last October has spoken to university students about that day. Kevin Vickers told the convocation at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick, he was in tears after he shot and killed Michael Zihaf Bibeau. (Vickers was the House of Commons sergeant-at-arms at the time and has been credited with firing the shots that killed Bibeau, who had already killed a ceremonial guard at the National War Memorial. Soon after the shooting, Vickers was appointed Canada's ambassador to Ireland.)
