Top executives at Canadian Pacific Railway are objecting to new US rules that would require a new braking system meant to reduce the severity of derailments. Hunter Harrison is the CEO of the Calgary-based company. He says there's no evidence electronically controlled brakes would have prevented the fiery crash in Lac-Megantic, Quebec, nearly two years ago. (Harrison says he plans to retire in 2017, but wants to stay on the board after that.)
