Renovations at the Newfoundland and Labrador legislature are finally hitting the home stretch after nasty surprises drove up costs. Assistant Deputy Minister of Works Cory Grandy says the price went to 56 million dollars, from 27 million, to replace windows, the roof and shoddy brick work. (Renovations that started at Confederation Building in 2009 were initially expected to take three years.)
