A new animated model has mapped out the potential consequences of a major oil spill on the beaches and inlets surrounding Vancouver. The city commissioned an analysis as an environmental review proceeds for Kinder Morgan's proposed expansion of the Trans Mountain pipeline. City councillor Andrea Reimer says the model heightens the city's concerns about increased tanker traffic through the harbour. (It's expected the number of tankers would jump from five to 34 each month should Kinder Morgan be successful in its expansion bid.)
